RESIDENTS of Kg Sungai Serai at Batu 11.5, Jalan Hulu Langat, were hit by floods again recently.
Several residents said the flood waters started rising at 5.30pm, after the rain had stopped, and the waters rose to their highest level at about 8pm.
Abdul Aziz Mohd. Ashari, 76, who has lived in the area all his life, said this was the fourth time this year that the village was hit by floods.
He also said there had been floods in the area for as long as he could remember but they had occurred more frequently over the past two years.

Amiruddin Zahamail said in the last three months of 2007, the water level went up 12 times.
Rosly Abu Bakar added that it was a common occurrence for his family already.
He was seen directing traffic and slowing down cars along with a group of other residents in the area.
Many said their vehicles, furniture and appliances were damaged.
Their livelihoods and businesses were also affected.
According to them, they had reported the matter to the relevant authorities but nothing had been done to rectify the problem.
Rosly also said the river had not been dredged in many years. The residents also alleged that the flood problems were caused by a bottleneck along the river caused by the water treatment plant at Batu 10.
From past experience, they said the water would subside the next day but they know the floods will be back again.
