TERATAI state assemblyman Jenice Lee is studying the list of expenses made by former assemblyman Yap Soo Sun of Gerakan in the state allocation for the constituency.
The list, which is posted on Lee's website, details how RM494,350 was spent in the first 44 days of this year (Jan 1 till Feb 13) from the RM500,000 annual state allocation.

According to Lee, from the records, she is supposed to have at least RM10,000 to use but she is only left with RM5,650 for the rest of the year.
“We are still investigating this matter and we do suspect foul play because some of the money distribution has political links.
“There are clouds shadowing the expenses and there are no clear records,” Lee said.
“For example, a big chunk of money (RM275,000) has gone to a small company involved in things like construction, catering, cleaning and waste disposal,” she said.
“The address of the company leads to a plain-looking house in Kampung Baru, Cheras, without even a signboard.
“What adds to the suspicion is that the company was established in 2004, just right after 11th general election,” Lee said.
She said another big amount of RM95,000 was spent on the Taman Melor Sports and Recreational Club, which she had never heard of at all.
“The money belongs to the constituency and we need to find out what was the principal reason behind these expenditures,” Lee said.
“I have set up a meeting with the land office which gave out the grants but that has been postponed. I will pursue this matter in detail before filing a report to the Anti-Corruption Agency,” she said.
